The NFNC operates through four technical units in addition to the Accounts and Administration units which support the Commission’s operations. These units are:
Develops food and nutrition guidelines for various target groups in different sectors
Develops and maintains up to date communication strategies
Plans and organizes nutrition education seminars and workshops
Maintains the Commission Library and ensures acquisition of relevant up to date publications
Collates nutrition information already existing from research and other sources and translates it into nutrition education materials for the general public, policy makers, food and nutrition service providers
Solicit for funds from other sources other than government
Management of donor funds for food and nutrition programs
Provides and maintain all office equipment and requirements for the Commission
Provides an efficient registry system in terms of filling and distribution of correspondence within the Commission and with other organizations
Maintains all Commission building and property and to provide for acquisition when necessary
Provides personal services regarding conditions of service
