The National Food and Nutrition Commission (NFNC) was established in 1967 through an Act of Parliament.  The Institution is now guided by the Food and Nutrition Act of Parliament, No.3 of 2020, which gives NFNC a wider mandate to provide leadership on food and nutrition in the country.

The Institution now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up a position of Registry Clerk in Lusaka

1.0      REGISTRY CLERK

1.1         JOB PURPOSE

To undertake the provision and maintenance of registry services in order to ensure safe storage of records, accessibility, and timely flow of information.

1.2 KEY RESULT AREA PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY (MAIN DUTIES)
Correspondence Undertakes timely, the receipt and distribution of correspondence in order to facilitate timely access to information
File Movement Undertakes timely, the circulation of files in order to facilitate appropriate action
Storage Undertakes effectively, the appropriate storage of records in order to prevent unauthorized access and destruction
Disposal of Records Undertakes timely, the transfer of semi-active and inactive records in order to facilitate archiving and space creation
Search List Undertakes effectively, the conducting of a search list in order to update the records

 

1.3         EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum of Certificate in Records Management or its equivalent
  • Computer literate

1.4         KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Able to write reports
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
